Share
A bold, sweet pick-me-up for life off the beaten path.
Ingredients:
- 1 shot of espresso (or 2 oz strong trail-brewed coffee)
- 4 oz milk (dairy or alternative like oat or almond)
- 1 tbsp hot cocoa mix or chocolate syrup
- 1–2 tsp blueberry syrup or jam
- Optional: Whipped cream, dried blueberries, or a dusting of cocoa
Gear You'll Need:
- Portable espresso maker or Coffee Pot
- Camping stove or heat source
- Small pot or mug
- Spoon or whisk
- Frother (optional for extra flair)
Instructions:
- Brew the Coffee - Pull a shot of espresso or brew strong coffee trail-style. Pour it into your favorite insulated mug.
- Mix the Flavor Base - In a small pot over your camp stove, combine chocolate mix and blueberry syrup (or jam) with a bit of milk. Stir until smooth and warm.
- Add Milk & Froth - Add the rest of the milk and heat gently. Froth it up with a portable frother or whisk vigorously for a foamy finish.
- Build Your Latte - Pour the flavored milk into your coffee, scoop some foam on top, and swirl gently to mix.
- Trail Toppings (Optional) - Add a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of dried blueberries and cocoa powder for the full latte experience—even in the wild.
Perfect for early mornings at base camp or a sweet mid-trail break.
Because who says rugged can’t be delicious?
